If you've been on Twitter or Facebook for anytime you probably wondered when THIS area is getting it's own TweetUp? Well, a few of us got together and brainstormed what is now called MichianaTweetUP.
The 1st Michiana TweetUP (hastag is #MichianatweetUP ) is going to be great. Why? Besides it being a novel way to meet the people you follow on Twitter and Facebook, you can also network people to people for business or friendship. It's a very non-threatening and safe networking environment. We are all there wanting to meet each other.
It will be March 24th 6pm-8pm at Ginos East of Chicago Pizza in Granger. There will be complimentary beverages and complimentary appetizers. Cash bar is available.
Who’s invited to the MichianaTweetUP?
Everyone is welcome. Now don't let the word “Tweetup” frighten you. It’s a gathering of Twitter users, or "Tweeps", that get together. Guess what? You don’t have to be on Twitter, or even know what Twitter is to come to #MichianatweetUP. Our goal is for people to have a good time and most likely they'll want to sign up for a free Twitter account by the time they leave!
Our host, Gino's East of Chicago Pizza in Granger, has also agreed to offer $50 gift certificate to Gino's East of Chicago Pizza for the person who tweets the most using #michianatweetUP, @GinosEastGrngr and a link to the registration page. You can tweet as often as you want, but only tweets from now until midnight on March 23rd will count. Winner will be announced at the event. Winner need not be in attendance.

We are moving right along and we are a little less than two weeks away from the first #MichianaTweetUP at Gino's.
If you have a friend you'd like to invite, please do so. We are in a large enough room and with complimentary beverages and appetizers provided so graciously by Gino's East of Chicago Pizza, it's even MORE inviting. Many in the Michiana area may have heard of Gino's but never had the chance to try their food till now. You bring the people, we've got the fun time and great tweets. We will be also be showing those who dont have a Twitter account just how easy it is to get started.
MEDIA TEAM NEEDED
I'm looking for 3 people to be the "Media Team" - you will be taking pictures/and video so we can post it up on the website to show everyone just how phenomenal of event it was. I am talking to another business about possibly donating throwaway digital cameras...I will let you know how that turns out. Any skill level is OK. I take cruddy picture since I can't seem to hold the camera still , so you can't do any worse than I can! LOL
